David Kramer
David Kramer is one of the most recognized and awarded amongst
songwriters, performers, playwrites, directors and musical producers in
South Africa.
He is the first South African to have played on Broadway and on London’s
West End, and won a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical. In
December 2007, David was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University
of Cape Town.
Altius has been the official corporate sponsor of David’s productions for the
last few years. He has a recording studio at the Altius head office, and Altius
is currently planning the construction of a permanent theatre as a community
initiative in which David’s productions will play 52 weeks a year.
