Award for Bananco Banana Distributors: Based at Cape Town Market, Bananco recently received Pick n Pay’s award for “Most Progressive Supplier of the Year” for fresh produce. Bananco was competing against approximately three hundred other Western Cape fresh produce suppliers.

Food on the Table: The Cape Town Market Food on the Table programme now provides an average 40 000 meals a month to the poor and destitute. Introduced in 2005, Food on the Table is now a major food source for many charities, who prepare and deliver the meals.
